I've made this twice in the past week to RAVE reviews. Try it out!!!
(I forgot to take a picture, I will next time because it is pretty cool looking.)
Prepare a 9x13 glass dish by spraying with Pam, rubbing with melted butter, and dusting with powdered sugar.
Then sprinkle 1/2 to 1 cup of chopped pecans and 1/2 to 1 cup of coconut on the bottom of the pan.
Mix a German Chocolate cake mix according to the directions on the box and spread it evenly over the pecans and coconut.
Mix 1 8 oz. package of soft cream cheese, 1 cube of soft butter, and 1 pound (half a bag) of powdered sugar into a smooth frosting.
Drop the frosting in spoonfuls onto the top of the cake batter in a organized or random fashion.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 min. It will not look done when you take it out of the oven, but if you do the toothpick test in the cake parts, it should come out clean.
It is sooooo great warm, but also good completely cool.
BEWARE!!!! You will fall in love with this cake!

Christmas Bark
This is the yummiest treat for the holidays, and it is SUPER easy.
(I'll take a picture to post with this after I make some this weekend.)
Makes approx. 40 pieces
1 sleeve saltine crackers
1 cup butter
1/2 cup light brown sugar
12 oz. milk chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Place crackers in one layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet
3. Melt butter and brown sugar in medium saucepan. Cook for 3 min., stirring constantly.
4. Pour butter-sugar mixture over the crackers. Spread evenly.
5. Bake for 15 min.
6. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. When they start to melt, spread evenly over the entire layer of crackers.
7. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
8. Refrigerate 1 hour.
9. Remove from the refrigerator and crack into pieces.(The pieces are prettier if they are diamond or triangle shaped, like bark ripped off a tree:)
It sounds crazy, but it is SO good!

My mom's super yummy sugar cookies are made with this recipe:

BEST SUGAR COOKIES EVER

1 egg
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tea. soda
1 tea. vanilla
1 cube butter (REAL butter!)
3 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tea. salt
Extra soft cookie tip: roll out to just under a 1/4 inch thick before pressing the cookie cutters in
Bake @ 350 for 6 to 8 min. (just until the bottoms are golden)
Awesome Frosting (use for cake decorating too!!):
1/3 cup shortening
1/3 cup butter

Tip: If you don't want the frosting to crack...add 1 tablespoon of Karo syrup! Decorate right away to make sure that the candy or sprinkles stick.
This frosting can be kept in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
